Ms. Tara Vonder Haar

Primary Guide

Tara Vonder Haar has been passionate about the Montessori Method since her first tour of a Montessori environment. After serving as an assistant for 5 short months, she decided to pursue her AMI Montessori Training at the Montessori Training Center of St. Louis while simultaneously completing her degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Child Development at the University of Missouri. Ms. Tara has years of experience teaching in Montessori environments across mid-Missouri including two years as Director and Guide at Big Muddy Montessori. She now leads the second Primary classroom at Woodland and couldn’t be more happy to bring her daughter Elliott to school with her every day as well.

In her free time, Ms. Tara loves to be outdoors gardening or riding bikes on the Katy Trail near her home in Rocheport. She enjoys baking and her favorite hobby, listening to and playing good music.
